About
Gorge Keep is a locally owned home watch and property care company based in Lyle, Washington. It exists because the people watching empty houses in the Gorge were a neighbor, a cleaner, or nobody, and because the companies that do this well are two hours away.
Based in Lyle. Serving the Columbia River Gorge.
When the east wind hits 50 and WA-14 ices over, a check from Lyle is twenty minutes. We know which roads close, which bluffs catch the wind, and what a cold snap does to a hose bib on the west wall. That knowledge goes into your property profile from day one, and it's why a Gorge Keep visit looks different from a generic checklist.
The company runs to a standard, not a mood. Every property has a written profile. Every visit follows the same 46-point checklist and produces the same report, the same day, whoever is holding the clipboard. Lock and alarm codes live in an encrypted vault and are never texted or emailed. Keys, when we must hold them, are tagged by number and kept in a bolted safe. Every vendor access is logged and photographed.
Your property is assigned to a Gorge Keep inspector who learns it from the profile before the first visit and is introduced to you by name before holding a code. Every inspector is background-checked, insured under our policy, and trained on the same checklist and report. You'll always know who was in the house, when, and what they found, and there is one local number to call either way.
Gorge Keep was founded by Matt Potter, who lives in Lyle and still walks properties.
Second homes and short-term rentals across the Columbia River Gorge, Washington side, with Oregon-side service by arrangement.
If you're not sure whether we reach you, ask. The answer is usually yes, and if it isn't we'll tell you who to call instead.
Insurance and bond certificates are available before you sign anything. Ask and we'll send them with your quote.
The walkthrough is free, takes about an hour, and ends with a written quote and a plan you can read in five minutes.
